〜Our Philosophy

crafted with care by
Japanese hands
Experience the true spirit
of Japan

OKADA was founded in Kyoto to share the spirit and beauty of Japan with the world.

Japanese culture is not merely a form — it is the very spirit that has been preserved and nurtured through generations with devotion and sacrifice.
It is a way of life rooted in respect, sincerity, and the quiet pursuit of self-discipline. This is the foundation of who we are, and our pride as Japanese.
Wearing kimono, holding a brush, preparing tea, dyeing patterns — each gesture carries the power to calm the mind and bring oneself into harmony.

As Japanese, we are committed to sharing this authentic beauty and spirit with honesty and care.
Those who pass it on must continue to learn, reflect, and act.
The right to speak of Japan lives only through daily practice and gratitude.

OKADA will carry forward this proud spirit of Japan to future generations.

OKADA is a certified member
of the JJA.

JJA認定店 JJA認定店

What is a JJA-certified member?

JJA was established to preserve and share authentic Japanese culture, led by Japanese people.
Organizations certified by the association represent places where Japan’s spirit is genuinely embodied — shaped by those who were born and raised in Japan and carry its values within them.

Through this mark, JJA strives to ensure that visitors from around the world can experience the true essence of Japan with confidence, and that Japan’s proud cultural heritage is conveyed with integrity.

About the Japanese Japan Association (JJA)
Today, opportunities to experience “Japanese culture” are increasing across Japan. However, many of these experiences remain superficial — commercialized imitations of tradition.
What we seek to preserve is not something to be consumed as tourism or momentary entertainment.
It is the way of life refined by our predecessors — expressed through attire and conduct. The spirit of food, rooted in respect for the life we receive from nature. A deep reverence for all living things. And the stories of history passed down through generations.
These are not things to simply imitate in form. They are living wisdom — to understand the respect they embody, to feel harmony with the natural world, and to recognize the greater flow of life that sustains us.
True Japanese culture is not about imitation. It is about embracing its spirit as part of oneself, and living each day with pride.
We believe that true preservation lies in Japanese people themselves learning, inheriting, and passing on these values to the world with authenticity.
JJA is not an organization created to produce something new. It is a gathering of individuals who already embody the essence of Japan through their own work and way of life — those who quietly share the same spirit and commitment.
Resisting superficial consumption, preserving true authenticity — we are a collective that carries forward the aesthetics of Japan through our very way of being.

Our one wish
To share Japanese culture with the world, through the heart of the Japanese people.
